Letters to Santa
The Letters to Santa project is coordinated by the Lions Club of Vermont in Victoria. Lions Clubs participating in the project ask local school children to write a letter to Santa and the children receive a reply from letters prepared by Lions.
This is a very enjoyable project for our Club members as they read, and reply to the letters from children. These are typical of the letters the children write:
"Dear Santa, I hope you are up for the job. Can you please get me a mountain bike. What is it like at the North Pole? Is it snowing or hailing? Is Mrs Claus going to make lots of cookies for the elves and you? One question. Are your reindeer up for the job? How long does it take to go around the world?"
"Dear Santa. For Christmas I wish for lots and lots of Smiggle things, a bike and an iPad mini and some blinges. I will have some carrots for the reindeers. You will get cookies and milk just for you. You have been on hard journeys all the time. I thank your helpers. They are doing good and I don't want to be on the naughty list please Santa. P.S. You are the greatest man. You can have anything you want from me because your giving me everything."
